Who we are

The International Centre of Children and Adolescents Psychopathology (IC-CAP) is a international centre of research excellence. Together with our international research partners, we are committed to identifying the underlying biological, social and psychological factors of child development.

The centre is led by Dr Muthanna Samara, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and health care professionals.

Our team has worked with children from a range of different backgrounds, cultures and age groups in both London and Qatar through collaborating hospitals and schools.

Our Mission and Values

Our mission is to provide pioneering research that can benefit the lives of children and young people with complex mental health conditions. This mission can only be achieved through working in partnership with our children and their families, healthcare providers, leading academic institutions and charities both in the UK and worldwide.

Through understanding the developmental processes of health and disease in children and adolescents we hope to raise international awareness and deliver new opportunities that enforce well-being and reduce vulnerabilities with early intervention.
